Native plants are critical to maintain the sensitive and beautiful ecosystems all around us. Learn about the importance of native plants, and how you can make a difference for our local environment by gardening with nature on your own property!

In the Zone, from Carolinian Canada, is a community of gardeners who are working to create a healthy local ecosystem and planet. They provide tools and information on native plant gardening whether it is your first plant, a wildlife garden expansion or a total yard makeover.

Panelist include:

Stefan Weber, PhD student, McMaster Univers

Erin Mallon, Land Owner Outreach Technician, Cootes to Escarpment EcoPark System

Brandon Doxtator, Oneida Nation of the Thames

You can also check out the Kayanase Greenhouse for local plants at their website.

The event is being delivered by Nature at McMaster.
