Event Type
Join us for the opening night of Lynn Nottage’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play and a special pre- performance reception and talk.
Sweat is set in the year 2000 in Reading, Pennsylvania. A group of friends go to work at the steel mill and then decompress at the bar as they’ve been doing for years. The company is considering layoffs, the war between community and capitalism begins, and tensions start destroying not only jobs, but relationships. This is the final event in our Future of Work series.
In partnership with the School of Labour Studies, School of the Arts, and McMaster Alumni Association.
