The Academic Women’s Success and Mentorship committee celebrates International Women’s Day on Monday March 9, 2020 with Jessica O. Matthews as the keynote speaker. Jessica O. Mathews is the CEO of Uncharted Power and a Harvard graduate with an MBA. Uncharted Power aims to develop new sustainable energy sources. Jessica frequently works with developing nations to provide kids sustainable sources such as soccer balls that can store kinetic energy to be used to source power to lights so kids can read and do homework at night. She is also currently the Ambassador of Entrepreneurship for Nigeria.
We invite students, faculty and staff members to attend this celebration for International Women’s Day. The event will be held in the Wilson Concert Hall. The talk will take place between 11:00 am and 12:30 pm, with a reception afterwards in the lobby of LR Wilson Hall. Doors will open at 10:30 am for people to seat themselves. Lunch will be provided at this event.
